We’re building a PatinaHall catalogue of iconic vintage and mid-century furniture: a lasting reference for the objects people search for, collect, restore, and want to understand.
We’re starting with ten chairs: Hans J. Wegner’s CH24 Wishbone and CH07 Shell Chair; Finn Juhl’s Chieftain; Arne Jacobsen’s Egg Chair and Series 7; Verner Panton’s Panton Chair; Charles and Ray Eames’ Lounge Chair; Poul Kjærholm’s PK22; Børge Mogensen’s Spanish Chair; and Eero Saarinen’s Tulip Chair.
Basically: ten chairs, 70 years of design history, and at least 400 arguments about who made what first.
What we’ll collect
For each object, we’ll bring together its history, makers, materials, production details, and the clues that help people identify the real thing. The catalogue will be a reference in its own right, whether or not an example is currently for sale.
The first ten are coming soon. After that, we’ll see how deep the chair rabbit hole goes.
